Through its Women In Nuclear (WIN) Pittsburgh chapter, Westinghouse Electric Company offers a scholarship to a female high school senior graduating from a Pittsburgh area school each spring. The candidate must intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree in S.T.E.M. (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) at an accredited college or university.

FEMALE students graduating in 2025, must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree program in engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences at an accredited college or university. If the student was eligible to apply for the Westinghouse Family Scholarship, the student cannot apply for this scholarship.

Candidate must be a senior-level student who intends to continue their post-secondary education at a technical school, community college, trade program or right into the skilled trades workforce

Students planning to pursue a four-year degree in an energy-related/supportive program, at an accredited College or University, or to enroll in an accredited Trade or Vocational degree program to learn an industry­ related/supportive skill or trade, may apply to receive
one of two scholarships.

The Patti & Walter Blenko Scholarship Fund for the Performing or Technical Arts provides scholarship money to Pittsburgh-area high school seniors who are pursuing higher education in the performing arts that meet talent and financial need criteria.

The T.A.P.S. Scholarship is to be awarded to a Shaler Area High School senior with a minimum of two years participation in a musical and/or play over his or her four years at Shaler Area High School. Scholarship applicants need to be TAPS members, one TAPS membership per family.

Each year, the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber Educational Foundation awards both students going to college/university and the trades.

College Scholarships- due Friday, April 17. This scholarship is open to any senior high school student from Pennsylvania who is accepted to enter college this fall, awarded annually to students deemed by the Foundation to have exemplary community service records and work experience..

CURRENT Sophomore or Juniors only! Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) gives students a hands-on experience in running a business. In just one week, participants work in teams with a business mentor to manage an underperforming company, making real business decisions in areas like production, marketing, finance, and HR. Teams compete in a business simulation, create marketing plans, and present their strategies, while developing skills in teamwork, creativity, and leadership.

Students also hear from business leaders on topics like entrepreneurship, communication, and career development, participate in a quiz bowl and a reality fair, and get a taste of college life. Many say PFEW teaches more in one week than a whole school year, helping them understand and appreciate the American free enterprise system while discovering their passion for business.

Through the PATH Program, qualifying students may be eligible for additional grant money.

Applications are now open for the PA House of Representatives Scholarship Program, administered through The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC). Each year, two graduating PA high school seniors receive a four-year scholarship equal to one semester of State System of Higher Education tuition per year, as long as eligibility is maintained. Eligible students must be PA residents, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, attend a PA postsecondary school full-time, and demonstrate leadership, community involvement, extracurricular participation, and financial need (children of legislators/staff are not eligible).

All applicants must be the child of a Marine or a Navy Corpsman, Chaplain or Religious Programs specialist attached to a Marine unit, have a cumulative GPA of 2.00, and have an adjusted gross income at or below the financial eligibility threshold determined by the Foundation on an annual basis. Additional documents may be required during the application process to verify eligibility. All who qualify and submit a completed application will receive an award. Award amounts range from $2,500 to $10,000 per year and are renewable. The undergraduate application is due March 1. Jewish Scholarship Service of Greater Pittsburgh coordinates the efforts of a group of organizations, agencies and scholarship endowment funds that provide scholarships to local Jewish students enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education. A program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and administered by JFCS.

To qualify for the Career and Technical Education Scholarship, an applicant must Have completed high school by July 1, plan to attend a not-for-profit community college or trade/vocational school, enroll in an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma program by September that will lead to employment, and demonstrate financial need

Applicant must be a CURRENT JUNIOR. One scholarship will be awarded to a selected individual in return for a six-week summer internship (30-40 hours per week for six weeks in a row; starting date to be mutually agreed upon) at the UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center and the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. The recipient must have transportation to the clinics during the summer internship.
