Certified School Nurse

We’re seeking a certified school nurse to fill an anticipated 50/50 vacancy in two of our primary school buildings. You’ll handle everything from promotion of health education and health practices, assessment of community and school health needs, and physical and mental health assessment of children and youth, to development, management, and evaluation of the school health program. Ideal candidates will have a knowledge of community-based agencies to serve at-risk students, knowledge of standards and regulations required, ability to deal effectively with parents, and good communication/presentation skills.

This position requires a valid PA Teaching Certificate: School Nurse K-12. Qualified applicants should have demonstrated academic excellence in undergraduate and graduate coursework, and have the ability to interact in a positive constructive manner with students, staff, and public. Supervisor of Project Management and Infrastructure

We’re seeking a skilled leader to oversee capital and energy management projects for our school facilities. You’ll handle everything from planning to execution, manage contractors, and ensure top-notch operation standards. Ideal candidates will have a background in engineering, experience in school constructions, and strong leadership skills.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, technology proficiency, and sufficient relevant experience with all facets of construction and building maintenance with preference for candidates who hold a Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent area of study, experience with union negotiation and administration of CBA’s, and experience with school construction, bonds and other public financing programs. Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant

The Shaler Area School District is accepting applications for a 12-mth. Administrative Assistant in our Accounts Payable Department. Responsible for assisting in District financial transactions and reports, with additional responsibilities to include mail room functions and assisting with the duties in the Business Office. An Associates degree in business administration, or related field preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of office management experience preferred. Building and Grounds Secretary/Print Shop Asst.

The Shaler Area School District is accepting applications for part-time support in our Building & Grounds department (4hrs/day, 4 days/week) and our district Print/copy shop (3hrs/day, 3 days/week); 7hrs/day, 4days/week total. Candidates must have experience in Microsoft Word/Excel, a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in administrative/clerical role, and exceptional verbal/written communication and organizational skills required.
