Students from Shaler Area Middle School had a wonderful time competing in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History for Science Bowl 2025.
Hosted by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, the Science Bowl hosted 700 students for learning across the museum. According to organizers, “Working in small teams, students complete a series of challenges which change each year. This year, guided by the museum’s natural history interpreters, students compared skeletal structures in mounted dinosaurs, studied details in images composed by professional photographers, and made firsthand observations of fur, feathers, and scales.”
Special congratulations to Katie P, Zelia, W, Santana M, and Lydia N for placing first in their competition!
