Shaler Area kicked off the fall sports season in style on August 27, as the community gathered at Biles Field for Meet the Titans Night. Families and fans turned out to celebrate the district’s student-athletes and performers ahead of another exciting year of Titan pride, with the Shaler Area Band Parents Association keeping spirits (and appetites) high with sweet treats throughout the evening. The night’s festivities brought some standout moments of their own: Alex Gaetano claimed the field goal kicking contest, needing five rounds before splitting the uprights from 40 yards out, while the Girls’ Soccer team successfully defended its title in the human chain competition, claiming back-to-back championships. It was a fitting start to the season — a night full of community, competition, and Titan Pride.
