Students at Shaler Area Elementary School got into the Olympic spirit with a fun school-wide activity. Each homeroom was given an inflatable Olympic torch. A torch in the Olympic games, such as a relay, symbolizes unity as it spreads the message of peace and friendship between people. Everyday a different student took the torch home and captured a picture with the torch to spread that connection throughout the Shaler Area Community.
