In February, nine school districts from across the area gathered at North Hills Middle School for the 50th Annual Strings North Honors Orchestra Festival. Eighteen students from Shaler Area Elementary, Middle, and High School represented the district at this year’s event.

Lukas Dayieb, Jasmine Hammond, Kai Heinbockel, Richard Balsomico, Julia Beck, Tegan Duncan, Ivy Hoburg, Javon Ronel, Matthew Britenbaugh, Lily Connolly, Ainsley Ingram, Peter Laite, Jackson McClintock, Elora McMarlin, Rose Molnar, Jamie Offen, Mia Phillips, and Lily Rose rehearsed throughout the day in preparation for their evening performance.
Students had the opportunity to collaborate with talented musicians from neighboring districts and work under multiple guest conductors, culminating in an evening performance. We commend them for their hard work, focus, and dedication in representing Shaler Area.
