Growing Together at Reserve: Our Hydroponic Garden Is Growing!

We are excited to share some wonderful news about our hydroponic garden grant at Reserve Primary! Thanks to this grant, our school is growing something special—not just fresh food, but also opportunities for students to learn, explore, and connect with the world around them.

The garden is planted and growing! Our hydroponic garden is up and running, and we are looking forward to all the exciting learning experiences it will bring to our students.

Special science lessons will be happening throughout the growing process. Students will have the opportunity to learn about hydroponics, plants, how things grow, and the many benefits of growing our food locally. These hands-on experiences will help bring science to life as students watch their plants grow and discover more about where our food comes from.

We are hoping to harvest our lettuce before Thanksgiving and celebrate with something extra special—a fresh salad served at lunch featuring lettuce grown right here at Reserve Primary!

This project is a wonderful way to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while encouraging healthy eating, curiosity, and an appreciation for locally grown food.

We can’t wait to watch our garden continue to grow and share the harvest with our school community. Stay tuned for more updates as our little garden grows into something BIG!
