Congratulations to the 2026 Shaler Area Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

Shaler Area School District is proud to announce the Shaler Area Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2026, recognizing three outstanding former student-athletes whose accomplishments have contributed to the proud tradition of Shaler Area athletics.

The Class of 2026 includes Andi Brooks (Lydon), Billy Dadowski, and Tanner Grzegorczyk. Each distinguished themselves through exceptional athletic achievement while representing Shaler Area and continued their success beyond high school.

Andi Brooks (née Lydon) was a four-year starter and senior captain for the Lady Titans basketball team, finishing her career with 1,100 points. She was a three-time All-Section First Team selection, earned PIAA All-State Third Team honors, and was selected to compete in the Roundball Classic. Brooks continued her basketball career at Central Connecticut State University, where she earned Northeast Conference honors.

Billy Dadowski was a four-year varsity letterman and two-year captain for the Shaler Area boys volleyball team. His career included All-Section, All-WPIAL, and PIAA All-State honors. During the 2019 season, Dadowski recorded 270 kills, the third-highest single-season total in program history, and remains among the program’s all-time leaders in kills and kills per game.

Tanner Grzegorczyk earned seven varsity letters while competing in soccer and golf. A standout golfer, he was ranked among the top five golfers in his section three times and was the 23rd-ranked Pennsylvania high school golfer in both 2016 and 2018. His nine-hole score of 3-under remains a Shaler Area record. Grzegorczyk went on to compete at the University of Findlay, where he holds several records, and tied for first in the 2022 Pennsylvania Open.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Andi, Billy, and Tanner into the Shaler Area Athletic Hall of Fame,” said Athletic Director Stephanie Strauss. “Their accomplishments represent the talent, commitment, and competitive spirit that have long been part of Shaler Area athletics. We look forward to welcoming them back and celebrating their achievements with our students, families, alumni, and community.”

The Class of 2026 will be recognized prior to the Shaler Area varsity football game on Friday, October 9, at Titan Stadium. The celebration will continue with the Shaler Area Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. at Shaler Area High School.

Shaler Area congratulates Andi Brooks (née Lydon), Billy Dadowski, and Tanner Grzegorczyk on this well-deserved honor and their induction into the Shaler Area Athletic Hall of Fame.
