Hello Shaler Area Middle School Families,

On Wednesday September 3rd, 2025, the Shaler Area Middle School will hold its first bus evacuation drill of the year in the morning. Shaler Area Middle School buses will enter campus as usual on the LIBRARY side of the building and proceed to the rear of the building.  Staff will help students exit the bus out of the rear emergency exit. Parents who choose to drop their child off at school on Wednesday September 3rd, 2025, will drop off on the CAFETERIA/LIBRARY side of the building. Small vans will stop and drop off in their usual location.

All car traffic after dropping off will be diverted left and exit through the LIBRARY PARKING LOT. NO cars will be permitted to go around the school nor enter/exit on the shopping side on Wednesday morning.

Students who are dropped off in front of the building will be guided and directed to the OpenGate room to complete the screening process prior to entering the building.
