 Facilities and Project Manager

The Shaler Area School District is seeking a dynamic and skilled leader to oversee our facilities operations and manage capital and energy management projects. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities, including planning, execution, contractor management, and ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence. Ideal candidates will have a background in construction management, with preference for those who have experience in school construction and maintenance (not required), strong leadership skills, and proficiency in technology relevant to construction and facilities management. Candidates should also have extensive experience in all facets of construction and building maintenance, with additional preference for those with experience in union negotiations, administration of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), school construction, bonds, and public financing programs.

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but relevant trade experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A valid driver’s license is required, and current clearances must be provided upon offer. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant

The Shaler Area School District is accepting applications for a 12-mth. Administrative Assistant in our Accounts Payable Department. Responsible for assisting in District financial transactions and reports, with additional responsibilities to include mail room functions and assisting with the duties in the Business Office. An Associates degree in business administration, or related field preferred but not required. Minimum 2 years of office management experience preferred. Advanced financial software and Microsoft office skills. Exceptional verbal/written communication and organizational skills required. Competitive salary/benefits. Transportation & Business Office Support Secretary

The Shaler Area School District is accepting applications for full-time support in our Business Office as a liaison between district inquiries and our transportation vendor regarding the daily transportation of our students. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of computer technology relating to school business operations, at least intermediate level experience in Microsoft Word/Excel, and high customer service skills. Summer Student Workers Needed  

Shaler Area School District is accepting applications for summer student workers.  Summer student workers work with the school district custodial and maintenance staff to prepare the schools for next school year.  Applicants must be at least 15 years old by June 2, 2025.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.  $11.00-$11.25 per hour.  Any questions should be directed to Kathy Coyle, coylek@shalerarea.org or 412-492-1200, ext. 2900.  Application is provided in the link below.  Thank you.
