Ten Shaler Area High School students attended Duquesne University’s Model UN Competition on February 6th. Three Shaler Area received special awards for their contribution as delegates: Sam Ruano, twelfth grade, Zane Cieslak, tenth grade, and Loch Kasko, ninth grade. This was the first time Shaler Area participated in this conference, and it was a fantastic learning experience for our students. The keynote speaker was Bhavini Patel, the Executive Director of Sustainable Pittsburgh, who addressed the environmental impact of AI data centers in the area and globally.
