A number of Shaler Area students appeared in a Super Bowl advertisement alongside Steeler’s player Cam Heyward. The ad featured the Mister Roger’s song “You Are Special” and highlighted the power of connection. Shaler Area Elementary School student shared, “it was a good opportunity to meet Cam Heyward. It was fun and awesome. I felt special to be able to be in the commercial.”

These students participate in the Boys and Girls Club programming at the Millvale Clubhouse, where they benefit from the educational enrichment, arts programing, and supportive connection of The Boys and Girls Club. Green expressed, “my favorite parts of the Boys & girls Club are the games, playing with friends , doing art and the challenging STEM projects. The teachers really spend a lot of time to make sure that we are having fun and learning too.”
