On January 22, Last Thursday through Saturday, three Shaler Area High School students participated in the PMEA District 1 Orchestra held at Mt. Lebanon High School. Jackson McClintock, Jamie Offen, and Andrew Purucker had the opportunity to rehearse and perform under the direction of Dr. Rotem Weinberg, Director of Orchestra Activities and Assistant Professor at West Virginia University. Students performed challenging repertoire, which included Night on Bald Mountain, Tales from the Aviary, and The Bamboula. They should be proud of the hard work and dedication required to perform at this level. Congratulations to all three students!
