Our teachers love to learn and model a curiosity and enthusiastic inquiry for their students. Shaler Area High School Teachers Jade Leung, Emily Mohr, Sarah Neaves, and Jen D’Angelo recently participated in a Department of Biological Sciences workshop provided by the University of Pittsburgh during a professional development day. Through their participation, these teachers are able to check out Pitt Kits, science kits containing all the materials, supplies, and equipment required to perform workshop protocols with their students at no cost. Ms. Leung’s fourth period honors biology class expired DNA through the Micropipetting Practice Pitt Kit. Thank you Ms. Leung, Ms. Mohr, Ms. Neaves, and Ms. D’Angelo for engaging your students through innovative models of instruction.
