Dear Shaler Area Families,
As we conclude the second week of the school year, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and partnership. It has been wonderful to see our students settling into their routines, reconnecting with teachers and friends, and embracing the energy of a new year. From welcoming events to instructional kick-offs, the start of the school year has been filled with positivity and momentum.
We’ve already seen great examples of learning, collaboration, and school spirit across all of our campuses—and we look forward to building on that in the weeks ahead. Thank you for the critical role you play in helping us Engage, Empower, and Excel every day.
Here are a few important updates and reminders:
MIDDLE SCHOOL CURRICULUM NIGHT
We warmly invite our middle school families to join us for our Middle School Curriculum Night on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, between 6:00-8:00 p.m. This event will provide a great opportunity to meet teachers, learn more about the curriculum, and discuss our plans for the school year. We look forward to seeing you there!
THANK YOU — GLENSHAW CENTURY CLUB
We are grateful to the Glenshaw Century Club for their continued support of Shaler Area. For many years, they have shown their commitment to education through scholarships for our seniors.
In recent years, they’ve also created a heartwarming tradition—donating handcrafted Care Bears to every new kindergarten student. What began during COVID as a gesture of comfort has become a meaningful welcome for our youngest Titans.Thank you, Century Club, for once again sharing your care and generosity with our students.
INFINITE CAMPUS INFORMATION
We also encourage all families to update contact information and complete any outstanding paperwork in Infinite Campus. Accurate information ensures you receive timely updates and helps us provide the best possible support for your child. If you need assistance, our team can be reached at infinite@shalerarea.org.
COFFEE & CONVERSATION LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 3
We also hope you will join us for our first Coffee & Conversation of the year on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. at Shaler Area Elementary School. This informal gathering is a great way to meet district leadership, share your thoughts, and engage in conversations about the year ahead. The District Parent Council (DPC) will immediately follow at 9:00 a.m.
LOOKING AHEAD — LABOR DAY CLOSURE
Please note that all Shaler Area schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday weekend.
Thank you for being an active part of our school community. Your involvement makes a difference in our students’ experiences and success.
Have a wonderful weekend!
