Shaler North Hills Library is seeking art for a Community Showcase Art Show. The theme is “Celebrate Your Community!” Do you have a favorite place to visit in your community? Are your family and friends the best part of your community? Do you have a favorite teacher? Sport? Pet? Place to eat? Share it with them!

WHO: Friends, neighbors, artists of all ages.
WHAT: Community-friendly art including, but not limited to, paint on canvas, drawings, sketches, photography. Artists may enter up to 2 pieces for this show. There will be an art template for those artists who wish to submit their work as part of a commemorative coloring book for Shaler Township’s 125th Anniversary.
WHERE: Art Submissions/drop off and registration at Shaler North Hills Library, 1822 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw PA 15116, second floor.
WHEN: Choose from one of the three dates and times to drop off and register your art:
Saturday, May 10 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Monday, May 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday May 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

COMMUNITY MURAL WORKSHOP: Monday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Shaler North Hills Library. Everyone is invited to design, paint, and create an art mural to celebrate community as part of Shaler Township’s 125th Anniversary! Your mural will be on display May–July at the library!

SAVE THE DATES FOR THE COMMUNITY SHOWCASE ART SHOW! The Community Showcase Art Show will be on display in the library’s upstairs Community Room from May 16 through July 25 during regular library hours.
Opening Reception: Friday, May 16 from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Shaler North Hills Library
Closing Reception: Friday, July 25 from 5:00–8:00 p.m.
