To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, second-grade students at Scott Primary learned about Dia de los Muertos or the Day of the Dead. Sugar skulls are created for Dia de los Muertos to honor friends and family members that have passed.

This activity allowed students to explore artistic expression, cultural competency, and emotional development.
